Hello fellow
classmates, my name is Rebecca and welcome to my blog!
I am a senior
here at CSUSM majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education. I
am in the midst of my last year here at CSUSM; after this semester I only have
two more classes to go! After graduation I plan to get my teaching credential
and master's degree through University of Phoenix, next year.
While I don't
consider myself to be technology savvy, I have had some exposure to modern
technology. I own and use an iPhone, so I am very comfortable operating that device.
I also am a new owner of a Macbook Air. While I am getting more comfortable in
navigating on my laptop, I still have many things to learn and discover within
it!
I hope to
teach Physical Education. I really would be open to teaching PE at any grade
level, but ideally I think I would enjoy teaching and be a more effective
teacher of middle and high school aged children.
I have a lot
of experience working with children. I have a young daughter myself, as well as
nieces and nephews and many younger cousins. I consider myself to be a fairly
athletic person. I've played soccer and softball since I was five and I still
enjoy playing them in recreational leagues to this day!
Two things I
would like you to know about me are that I come from a huge Italian family and
I have worked at Chili's for eight years, and I can't wait to begin my career
as an educator!
Hello Miss Rebecca what do you hope to get out of this technology class? What made you want to teach Physical Education instead of other subjects? Having taught at the middle school level it is and can be very difficult. However I think that you can make it and I think you would do well. As far as I am concerned the children and future children need good educators such as your self. What would be your favorite aspect of Physical Education? ~ Your humble colleague Charles Somers
